The Equator Principles Association - Governance & Management

The Equator Principles (EP) Association is the unincorporated association, of member Equator Principles Financial Institutions and Associates, whose object is the management, administration and development of the EPs. The EP Association was formed on 1 July 2010 and was instituted to ensure long-term viability and ease of management of the member Equator Principles Financial Institutions and Associates.

The EP Association is governed by a set of Governance Rules (the Rules) which provide guidance to existing and prospective Equator Principles Financial Institutions and Associates on the processes for the management, administration and development of the EPs.

The EP Association Steering Committee (the Steering Committee) co-ordinates the administration, management and development of the EPs on behalf of the member Equator Principles Financial Institutions and Associates.

The role of the Chair of the Steering Committee (currently Citigroup) is to provide co-ordination across the Steering Committee, the Working Groups and the member institutions. The Rules detail the scope of the roles of the Steering Committee and Chair and how representatives are nominated and appointed.
